Steps to implement the dataLayer

Setting up the DataLayer Configuration:

  1.  Go to the DataLayers under Dynamic Items menu. Create a new DataLayer setting.

  2. Give a name to the DataLayer and select all the fields you want to show in the dataLayer object.

  3. To override the field names for the dataLayer object, go to the "Configuration Fields" tab and input the override value under the field name.

  4. To enable the transactionProducts data in the dataLayer, mark the checkbox Transaction Products.

  5. Save the Configuration.

Enabling DataLayer in the Flow

  1. Go to the Flows tab and select the flow.
  2. Select the DataLayer from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the widgets enable the dataLayer and set an event name (in the new tab)
  4. Save the configuration.


(info)  This will enable the dataLayer on the pages in the flow which include the PrevNext Widget.
 DataLayer will only work if GTM is enabled in the Site Settings.

 An easy way to check the dataLayer object is to type dataLayer in the console in developer tools.
