It refers to each kind of property in the accommodation type tree structure.  For example: Bungalow, Mobile Home, Apartment and so on.
The Accommodation kind is a “tag” that you can put on the accommodation type. In this way, accommodation types can be grouped and used for general searching on for example the website. It is also used for filter option in for example batch-update.

How to create an Accommodation Kind

1. Open the Content Manager
2. Expand the Configuration menu
3. Click on "Accommodation kind"
4. Click on "Add accommodation kind"
5. Fill in the details like 'Name', 'Code', 'Priority' (ordering in which you want to see this accommodation kind in various lists within Maxxton Software). 
6. If the accommodation kind if used for work orders/maintenance then mark "Use for Work order" setting as Yes. Click on "Create accommodation kind"
7. When creating new accommodation types, you can select the accommodation kind to be assigned to your bookable accommodation types.
