How to create a new location?
Step-by-step:
- Open the Content Manager module
- Select Locations in the sidebar navigation menu (picture 1)
- Click on the Create Location button at the bottom right corner of the page
- A new window will popup (picture 2)
- Select the parent location of the new location (Example: Nederland)
- Enter the name of the new location (Example: Vakantiepark Herperduin)
- Enter a code for the new location (Example: vhd)
- Click on Create (the Create button will be activated when all mandatory fields are filled in)
- Check the Location overview page to see if the new location is created correctly
The location structure is fundamental configuration which cannot be considered dynamic, meaning, it is not possible for the user to add or remove additional sublevels or move locations from 1 parent to another. The location tree structure should be considered a fixed framework which is setup at first when MXTS is configured. Over time, new bookable locations can be added in the existing structure (below existing sublevels), or new sublevels are added to the structure when circumstances make sense (new location in a new country).
