The Reservation Request Dashboard also called the Reseller Reservation Dashboard, is an important tool created to monitor reseller reservations. This dashboard helps us easily track incoming reservations from different resellers, including well-known platforms like Airbnb, Interhome, Booking.com, and Expedia.

Designed for efficiency, the dashboard allows users to keep an eye on and manage reservations from various sources. It provides a clear overview of failed reservation requests, making it simple to take the necessary actions as and when required.

In addition to managing reservations, the dashboard also displays useful statistics related to bookings. This information helps stakeholders understand the number of reservations coming from each reseller they work with. By using these insights, they can make better decisions to improve their strategies and boost overall performance.

Prerequisites:

The user should have the right to access the ‘Reservation Request Dashboard’. Below I have highlighted the right that is required by the user to access the Dashboard

How to handle failed reservations from the Reservation Dashboard

Once the user knows what information is displaying on the Dashboard, it is quite easy for the user to make use of the dashboard to view such failed records and take appropriate action against them.

The best way to view and handle a ‘Failed’ reservation is mentioned below

  • In ‘Advanced filter’ select Import status as ‘Fail’ Or search by a specific ‘Booking reference number’ (if you have it). This will make the failed reservation requests visible (Example: 92814230842)

  • No click on the Record, and a pop-up will populate on the screen called ‘Reservation details’ which will have three tabs in it:

    • Failure Details: As seen in below screenshot, user can see all the required details related to the reservation request that failed. It will have information like Stay dates with Guest details, Location and accommodation details and will also reflect “Possible reason for import failure“ which will determine few possible reasons due to which the reservation request had failed to process successfully in Maxxton software

    • Reservation Request: This tab is only visible to Maxxton employees and would have the full Reservation XML request which can be used by Maxxton for more technical debugging (if required)

    • Technical detail: Even this tab is visible to only Maxxton Employees and would have a information on more technical details on why the reservation request failed to process
