Widgets panel in Webmanager

What are widgets?

Widgets are self-contained components that serve specific functions and can be used to construct website layouts. They are like building blocks that can be easily arranged and combined to create customized interfaces. Widgets can perform a wide range of tasks, such as displaying information, collecting user input, or interacting with external services. They are designed to be modular and reusable, making it easy to add or remove functionality as needed.

How to use widgets?

When you want to add a new widget to your page, open the Widgets panel located on the right side of the Webmanager, next to the Publish panel. From there, you can browse through the available widgets and choose the one that best fits your needs.

Once you have selected a widget, simply drag and drop it into the desired location within your page structure. It's important to consider the parent-child relationship between components, as this will affect how the widget interacts with other elements on the page.

After you have placed the widget, you can customize its settings and content. This may involve changing the widget's appearance, adding or removing functionality, or adjusting its layout.

Types of widgets

The type of widget depends on it’s purpose and the way it handles the data.

Layout widgets

Layout widgets are used to build the overall structure and design of a website. They provide pre-built containers and grids that can be easily customized and combined to create a unique layout. Additionally, layout widgets are responsive, meaning they can adapt to different screen sizes and device types, making them an essential tool for creating mobile-friendly websites.
