Steps to Configure SMS Messaging in MXTS
Before the system can send SMS messages, the following steps must be performed:
Turn on the feature flag ‘sms.enabled’.
Configure the Messagebird account.
Add a subaccount of the Maxxton account (link).
Add API keys to the mxt-cloud configuration.
Test API key for ACCEPTANCE, DEVELOP and STAGING (only if applicable; this is part of the production cloud configuration file).
Configure Registered senders for the countries used by the customer.
In certain countries, local restrictions apply. The sender must be registered per country to avoid messages being blocked. The list of restrictions can be found here.
Use this information when adding a registered sender.
Different data is required per country.

Create an SMS template.
Ensure that the sender exactly matches the configured ‘Registered sender’.
