This page explains the usage and configuration of Representation set template. Representation set template is a set of one or more representations clubbed together along with the required distribution channels linked to them. This set acts like a template which can be linked to one or more newly created accommodation types (which do not have any active representation linked to them).

Example: Assume that the most of your accommodations have 3 representations as mentioned below

  • Direct channels like Internet, Call centre, Reception (with flexible rentability conditions)
  • OTA representation with the touroperators like Booking.com, Expedia etc (with the agreed minimum rentability conditions)
  • Owner channel representation (with the most flexible arrival conditions)

So you can create a 'Representation set template' with the name, let's say, 'Standard representation set' and create the above mentioned three representations in the set and link the channels accordingly in each representation. The idea is that every time new accommodation types are created, this representation set template with the name as 'Standard representation set' can be linked to the accommodation types so at once, all three representations will be created automatically and all the desired channels will be linked.

Getting Started

To start setting up your Accommodation types, first login into Maxxton Software with your credentials and then navigate to "Content Manager" to start your set up

Setting up 'Representation set template'

  1. Click on left side bar menu with the name as 'Configuration' and then you will see 'Representation set template' menu. If you do not see this menu in the left side bar then you can contact support@maxxon.com or go to Backoffice manager and check the right for your login.
  2. Click on 'Create representation template' to create a new template (see screenshot below)

        3. Add the Name and Code of the representation set template. Once you have created a representation set template, then you can configure representations in it.

         4. To create representations in the 'Representation set template', click on "Add representation" and add the internal name (if required as internal name makes it easy to identify the representations).

          5. Once the representation is created, you can click on it (see screenshot below) and link distribution channels into it.

           6. Similarly, you can create as many representations as desired with the required channels. Ensure that the distribution channels you select in each representation is different from another representation in the same set.

           7. Last step is linking the representation set template to the accommodation types (which do not have an active representation linked to them). Click on "Link template to accommodation types", search for the accommodation types in which you want to create the representations, choose                 'Rentability set', if required and click on 'Start Batch'. The template will create the representations in the selected accommodation types.
