Locations are the second main entity in the system. A location can be a resort, a geographical entity or a sublevel to create a hierarchy. Accommodations are grouped in a location.

Configurations which are common to do on a top-level and can be used for all sub-levels:
- subjects (which travel company categories can be booked)
- commissions
- cancellation extra's
- add ons for accounting purposes
Business scenarios where the user needs a location:
- as a filter for check-in
- as a filter for housekeeping planning and maintenance
- in case of using the tax module and different tax rates
How to create a new location?
Step-by-step:
- Open the Content Manager module
- Select Locations in the sidebar navigation menu (picture 1)
- Click on the Create Location button at the bottom right corner of the page
- A new window will popup (picture 2)
- Select the parent location of the new location (Example: Nederland)
- Enter the name of the new location (Example: Vakantiepark Herperduin)
- Enter a code for the new location (Example: vhd)
- Click on Create (the Create button will be activated when all mandatory fields are filled in)
- Check the Location overview page to see if the new location is created correctly
