What is 'Lock reason'?
In Maxxton Software, locks are used to block available accommodations units for rent. There can be several reasons to do so, e.g. when there is a (technical) failure, when the object unit is new and has to be checked or when an owner stops the contract. In MXTS the user Maxxton Software, you can define lock reasons. In the lock reason it is , you can defined which type of lock it is:
- Phasing - This is used for phasing of campsites, to regulate occupancy related to maintenance and growth of the grass
- Temporary
- Final

- - This is used for all other lock reasons like maintenance, painting etc.
- Final - It will not be taken into account in the availability shown through some reporting tools like Power Play. And an accommodation can only be archived when the lock is of the type Final

Locks of the type Phasing are used for phasing of campsites, to regulate occupancy related to maintenance and growth of the grass.
Locks of the type Temporary are used for all other lock reasons.
Most important difference of the lock types is the color of the lock on the planning chart. This way users directly know what kind of lock they are looking at.
Locks always are added at object unit level and do have a from and to date.
Add reason:
- When setting up lock reasons, it can be configured if a detailed reason when adding a lock is optional, mandatory or not applicable.

How to configure?
- You can login in Maxxton Software and navigate to Content Manager
- Then in the left menu bar, go to Categories > Lock reasons
- You can configure a new reason by providing a 'Name', 'Description' and 'Lock type'.
- You can also choose to specify if the users need to "Include detailed reason while adding locks"
