This page describes how to setup an addon to be used as security deposit for credit card authorization.
Content manager (addons)
Within the content manager press the create add-on button to create a new addon that can be used to setup the amount for a creditcard authorization during self check-in
During creation you have to make a couple selection that are mandatory for the addon to work. 
Type of add-on needs to be set to deposit. It is best to create a default representation and rentability for this addon. This can customized later on when we link the addon to the accommodation type.
Setup rates
Once we have created the add-on we can setup once or multiple rates.
- At the rates card choose Create rate
Depending on the preferences for the Deposit you can choose any rate setup you like. For simplicity sake i will show the most basic setup.
Once you complete the wizard it will show the newly created rate. 
The result is that we have an add-on with a rate of 200 per stay for a single reservation.
Link accommodation type
Now that we have an add-on with a rate setup we can link the add-on to specific accommodation types to ensure it will be added to the booking during the booking process. 
At the linked accommodation types card choose "Link accommodation types" to start linking the accommodation types to this add-on.
In the first step it is important to choose either a parent accommodation type or the bookable accommodation type. When you choose both the add-on will be invalid an cannot be added to the reservation.
At the rate type section you can choose to only link this add-on for specific rate types or all. In the test case we choose to link all rate types.
The validity step lets you specify if this add-on is valid during specific book/stay dates. In the test case we will make it active from today onward.
On the final step it is important to enable "Included on bill" this ensures that the price of the add-on will not be part of the main or the resort bill. We also use this property to recognize this specific add-on in the reservation.
This completes the add-on setup and when you create a reservation with one of the linked accommodation types you will notice that the add-on has been added to the reservation. During self-check this will be used to show how much the guest will be charged for.
