User Manual: Owner Settlement Burst using Cognos share location

 

This user manual will guide you through the streamlined steps to generate the Owner settlement burst reports. By following the instructions below, you'll be able to select the appropriate burst report, choose your preferred output format, and leverage advanced options for a more refined reporting experience. You can also extend this process to import the settlement.

There are 2 major Steps in this process.

  1. Print the Burst Report

  2. Import settlement

Also, there are prerequisite configurations which will be corrected by the BI Team before each respective environment deadline

  1. jasper. enabled should be false

     

  2. owner.settlement.share should have location configured

Print Burst Report

  1. Select the appropriate burst report & hit the Print button.



  2. You will be able to see the list of burst reports, by clicking on the triangular run button next to the appropriate burst report.



  3. Select the required output format like PDF.



  4. Click on advanced options allows more options.



  5. Then select the Run in the background instead of View the report now.



  6. Now enable Save to the file system from the Delivery section. Click on Edit the file system options... to select the appropriate Location.



  7. Select the appropriate Location, and click OK to close.



  8. Check Burst the report option under the Bursting section. Click on the Run button.



  9. It will lead to the parameters page. Enter the appropriate parameters as per requirements.



  10. Enter the appropriate parameters as per requirements and click Next/Finish.



  11. You will get another popup, you can press Ok button and continue to step 12



    Or you can choose View details of this report after closing this dialog to monitor report execution & clock Ok button and follow the next steps


    You will the details dialog, you can click Refresh until Completion time appears which means report execution is complete


    Once report execution is complete you can see the Completion time, then you can close the window by clicking X on the right top corner & following next steps



  12. Once report execution is complete, you can access the outputs in the FTP locations.
    Note: you need to request this access for the respective employees/users from @Jan Hogeweg. Also, it is necessary to have access to this shared location in order to able to import settlements other the system will throw an error.

     



  13. Confirm the outputs generated in the FTP location, once they are verified, you can proceed with importing the settlements.

 

Import settlement:

  1. Select the appropriate settlement in the Owner Settlement (make sure it’s a permanent settlement). Click the Import settlement button.



  2. Enter the common name, select the files to import and click Next for the next step



  3. Select the appropriate heading, and roles and click Next for the next step.



  4. Verify the summary on the screen and click Finish.



  5. Click OK the once import is complete.



  6. Verify details for owners at Owners > Correspondence tab.
