Rights and Role in Web Manager

Overview:

The Roles and Permissions feature has been integrated into the Web Manager, allowing for the creation of distinct roles with specific permissions tailored to different users. With this functionality, users can be assigned roles within the Backoffice Manager, granting them access to various sections and actions within the Web Manager.

Key Features:

  1. Role Customization: Users can be assigned roles with specific permissions based on their responsibilities and requirements.

  2. Permission Specifications: There are 18 different permission specifications available in the Backoffice Manager, corresponding to various sections such as pages, sites, site settings, CMS settings, and more.

  3. Granular Control: For each section, administrators can specify actions like READ, EDIT, CREATE, DELETE, and EXECUTE (all) for specific users.

Accessing Web Manager:

If a user encounters a popup indicating restricted access or doesn't see specific sections in the Web manager, it's likely due to their assigned role's permissions. In such cases, administrators should configure the correct role for the user in the Backoffice Manager.

Instructions:

  1. Identify User Requirements: Determine the specific access requirements for each user or group of users.

  2. Assign Roles: In the Backoffice Manager.

  3. Configure Permissions: Assign roles to users, ensuring that permissions align with their responsibilities.
