2.2 Reservation Dataset

This dataset provides information per reservation. One reservation might contain two or more accommodations, so attributes and metrics of the Accommodation Daily Dataset and Reservation Dataset can't be exchanged.

Arrival Date

Arrival Date: The exact date the customer is arriving

Arrival Date Day of Week: The day of the week the customer is arriving

Arrival Date ISO Week: The ISO week in which this date is classified

Arrival Date Month: The month the customer is arriving

Arrival Date Quarter: The quarter the customer is arriving

City: City of Origin of the customer

Country: Country of Origin of the customer

Customer ID: The unique id for the customer, can be used to find the customer in MXTS or create aggregations in MicroStrategy

Departure Date

Departure Date: The exact date the customer is departing

Departure Date Day of Week: The day of the week the customer is departing

Departure Date ISO Week: The ISO week in which this date is classified

Departure Date ISO Year: The ISO year in which this date is classified

Departure Date Month: The month the customer is departing

Departure Date Quarter: The quarter the customer is departing

Departure Date Year: The year the customer is departing

Distribution Channel

Distribution Channel Brand If used in MXTS, the brand of the distribution channel

Distribution Channel Level(s): The distribution channel through which the reservation of the resource was made. Level 1 - 5 depends on the tree-structure in MXTS

Distribution Channel Type: Type of the distribution channel (e.g. Direct, Touroperator or Reseller)

Employee

Employee: Name of the Employee who created the reservation

Employee group: The group to which the employee who created the reservation belongs (e.g. Reservations, Administrators or Internet)

Employee Status: The status of the employee: On Duty / Off duty

Location

Location Country: The country where the resort (location) is located

Location Level(s): Location level as classified in MXTS tree-structure (1 - 5 is possible)

Reservation

Reservation: The reservation number of the reservation

Reservation category: If used, the reservation category of the reservation, for example the source of the reservation (by phone, e-mail or website)

Reservation Status: States of the reservation (e.g. Definitive, Pre Booking, Expired or Cancelled)

Source: If used, the source of the reservation (e.g. Social Media, Booked from Website, TripAdvisor or Search Engine)

Reservation Date

Reservation Date: The exact date the reservation was created

Reservation Date Day of Week: The day of the week the reservation was created

Reservation Date ISO Week: The ISO week in which this date is classified

Reservation Date ISO Year: The ISO year in which this date is classified

Reservation Date Month: The month the reservation was created

Reservation Date Quarter: The quarter the reservation was created

Reservation Date Year: The year the reservation was created

Reservation Duration

Reservation Duration: The duration of the reservation, calculated in days. For example: When the arrival day is Sunday and departure is two weeks later on Sunday, the reservation duration is 14 days

Reservation Duration Interval:

30 Days: The 30-days interval in which a reservation is classified. For example: A reservation duration of 14 days is in this attribute classified in the interval 1 - 30 days

5 Days: The 5-days interval in which a reservation is classified. For example: A reservation duration of 14 days is in this attribute classified in the interval 11 - 15 days

7 Days: The 7-days interval in which a reservation is classified. For example: A reservation duration of 14 days is in this attribute classified in the interval 8 - 14 days

Reservation Lag

Reservation Lag (also known as lead time): The number of days between the reservation date and arrival date. This way you can see how many days in advance your customers are making a reservation.

30 Days: The 30-days interval in which the reservation lag is classified. For example: A reservation lag of 33 days is in this attribute classified in the interval 31 - 60 days

5 Days: The 5-days interval in which the reservation lag is classified. For example: A reservation lag of 33 days is in this attribute classified in the interval 31 - 35 days

7 Days: The 7-days interval in which the reservation lag is classified. For example: A reservation lag of 33 days is in this attribute classified in the interval 29 - 35 days

If used in MXTS, for example, when a reservation for a guest (Customer) is made via an agency (Paying Customer): Due/outstanding bill amount for paying customer

Paying Customer Paid Amount

If used in MXTS, for example, when a reservation for a guest (Customer) is made via an agency (Paying Customer): Bill amount paid by paying customer

Reservation Turnover

Total net turnover of all booked accommodations in this reservation, meaning gross price of the booked accommodations minus specials and included reservedresources. This amount is including VAT. This reservation turnover is excluding add-ons. That means that the e.g. Customer Bill Total will be higher if add-ons are booked in this reservation.
