Payment Methods

Initial Setup

Please understand that Maxxton will not document the PSP dashboard and configuration specifics. These aspects are typically managed by Customer Support teams or directly by your PSP representative.

Prerequisites

Before starting the configuration of your payment methods, you need to ensure that you have:

  • Access to an account provided by your Payment Service Provider (PSP), like Ingenico. This account is essential for accessing various PSP services and managing payment transactions efficiently.

  • All your Admin Organisation has to be configured prior to the configuration of the payment methods.

  • Maxxton facilitates the creation and management of payment method types. Should there be a need for a new payment method, Maxxton's team will implement it and then add it to the list of available options.

Access

  • The configuration related to payment methods is predominantly managed within the Finance Manager Module of Maxxton's software. The configuration is done through different panel of this module:

    •

Setup

Payment Service Provider Configuration

  • Begin by configuring your connection with the PSP using the credentials provided by your PSP provider (e.g., username, password, API key…). This step is required for processing payments and is typically handled by Maxxton upon receiving a configuration request through a support ticket.

Ledger and Journal Setup

  • Proceed to set up your ledgers and journals within the finance manager. This involves creating specific ledgers for tracking incoming and outgoing payments and configuring journals for comprehensive financial transaction management.

Account Configuration

  • Lastly, set up miscellaneous accounts in the Maxxton system. These accounts are crucial for registering and managing the flow of payments processed through your chosen PSP.

Distribution Channel

  • If you want to have a payment method available for a specific DC you will have to link it in newyse. Without this configuration this payment method will not be available to be used for a reservation via API.

Managing Payment Methods

Updating Payment Methods

  • To modify existing payment methods, you will have to understand all the links there is between the payment method and the accounting part that you have setup previously. Any change of accounts or ledgers has an impact on the integration of a payment method. Please refer to CS team to change a payment method already in use.

Using Payment Methods

  • Once configured, these payment methods are ready to be used for processing customer payments securely. It's important to ensure that your system (MXTS, PSP provider, Client Website) is adept at handling transactions for each integrated payment method to maintain a smooth payment process.

  • You have now access to this payment methods on every reservation (depending on your configuration access to the accounts).

Archiving / Deleting Payment Methods

  • In the event that a payment method needs to be removed or archived, you will have to remove the account that is linking the payment method to the PSP.

Dependencies & Impacts

Dependencies

  • The successful integration of these payment methods depends on having an active PSP account. Additionally, specific configurations might be needed to meet the unique requirements of your PSP. This part is handled by Maxxton, once all payment methods are tested there should not be anything blocking the process unless there was a configuration change.

Impacts

  • Integrating SEPA Direct, Mastercard, and Visa, among other payment methods, into your application not only diversifies your payment offerings but also enhances your application's overall payment processing capability. It's crucial to thoroughly test each payment method post-integration to ensure seamless transactions for your customers.

  • The payment methods may be accessed through various module in MXTS:

    • Reservation Manager

    • Website: with our REST API (Link)

    • Web Manager

    • CMS (Myenv)
