Maxxton Software - Release v2024.11.0

Your Maxxton Software experience is improving as we work to squash bugs and release new features. Here's an account of the improvements you'll find in the latest releases.

This release is now available on production at 13 March.

Channel Manager

What's Improved

  • Removal of Integration Manager menus from Channel Manager

This update removes the menus related to connections and APIs from the Channel Manager. These functionalities have been fully migrated to the Integration Manager. Previously, clicking on these menus in the Channel Manager would redirect users to the Integration Manager. Now, the menus have been removed entirely to streamline the user experience.

Content Manager

What's Improved

  • Redesign of the Documents section in Content Manager

We have revamped the look and feel of the Documents menu in Content Manager for better usability and a smooth user experience. You can quickly add filters to search your document, when uploading the document you can also choose the type of document and the language, and much more. Kindly check out the new look in Content Manager > Configuration > Documents.

  • New look for the Accommodation type list page

We have revamped the look and feel of the Accommodation types list page in Content Manager. You can now view more details in the list and use the "Configure columns" option to view more or fewer columns in the Accommodation type list. You can also use the sort options on various columns due to the new tabular list view.

Finance Manager

What's Improved

  • Improved navigation in statement transactions

To enhance our users' efficiency during transaction processing, we've updated the placement of the drawer pagination within the Statements Import section of the Payments module. Pagination controls are now prominently placed in the header, ensuring they remain visible at all times. This eliminates the need to scroll up to access pagination after navigating through transactions, streamlining the user experience.

  • Enhanced VAT configuration flexibility

We've updated our system to accommodate the addition of a 0% VAT rate. This enhancement recognizes the distinct financial and accounting implications between transactions with zero VAT (0%) and those exempt from VAT (no VAT). By enabling users to explicitly configure a 0% VAT rate for applicable ledgers, we align more closely with the nuanced expectations of financial accounting practices and client needs.

What's Fixed

  • Transaction count accuracy enhancements

We've addressed several issues affecting transaction counts within the statement overview and tabs. Users reported discrepancies where the counts did not match the actual number of transactions, particularly in files imported via MXTS. Instances of counts being lower or higher than the actual numbers have been corrected to ensure accuracy and reliability in transaction tracking.

  • Search functionality for Linked Location Groups

We've identified and resolved an issue where users were unable to search for linked location groups using the search bar. Previously, attempting a search would result in a popup displaying all location groups without filtering. This update introduces the ability to effectively search and select from linked location groups, significantly improving navigation and usability.

  • Improved payments loading mechanism

We've addressed an issue where not all payments were loading seamlessly during scroll. Users previously needed to adjust the scroll bar upwards to trigger the loading of additional payments, a challenge linked to varying screen resolutions. This has now been resolved, ensuring a smooth, continuous loading experience for all payments regardless of screen size.

  • Ledger export process improvement

We've addressed an issue where the Ledger Export screen remained open even after the export process had completed. This screen will now automatically close upon completion, enhancing the user experience by streamlining the workflow.

Integration Manager

What's New

  • Introduction of 'Remove' feature

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a 'Remove' feature in the Reseller Configuration. In the event that a user mistakenly links an incorrect accommodation type or unit, this feature enables them to easily remove the linking altogether.

What's Improved

  • Validation for unique 'Room code'

In the 'Reseller Connection configuration' we have now implemented a validation process to ensure the uniqueness of the 'reseller room code' entered in the linking. If the entered room code is found to be non-unique, the system will prompt a validation message stating "Room code is already linked with another resource". This validation applies to both accommodation-type level linking and unit-level linking

  • Enhancment of 'Advance filter'

As part of our continuous efforts to enhance usability, we have implemented several improvements and bug fixes to the recently introduced 'Advanced Search Filter' across various cards in the Integration Manager. These enhancements aim to provide users with a seamless experience while using the 'advance filter' functionality.

Owner Manager

What's Improved

  • Export function for ending contracts in Owner Manager

To enhance management and oversight of contracts nearing completion, we've introduced a new export functionality within the Owner Manager module. Users can now generate exports of ending contracts, with the added flexibility to select specific columns for inclusion in the export. This improvement ensures users can tailor the exported data to meet their precise needs, facilitating better analysis and decision-making.

  • Enhanced flexibility in Owner Entity Type modification

In response to feedback regarding the occasional need to correct the classification of an owner as either a private individual or a company, we're introducing a feature to adjust the Owner Entity Type. This update takes into account the strict regulations from DAC7 requiring historical data for each entity, ensuring compliance while providing the flexibility to rectify mistakes.
