Reservation batch update

The purpose of this article is to explain how the user can use the reservation batch update. The functionality allows the user to update reservation changes for a selection of reservations. The first one we have implemented is the reservation status update.

Permission

  1. Activate the following permission to allow the user to use the reservation batch update

How to use the reservation batch update

Reservation status update

  1. Open the search reservations menu and select the reservations you want to update > there is a limit of 1000 reservations per reservations batch update.

  2. User should always first make a selection of reservations before the batch update can be started. So for example: filter on reservations with reservation status = pre-booking (to update the status to provisional), or filter on reservations with reservation status = checked-in in combination with specific arrival/departure dates ( to update the status to checked-out).

  3. Make sure the configuration in the backend is done and ready for updating the pre-booking to a normal reservation because we do a check on all valid configuration and recalculate the bill during this specific status change. For all other status changes we just update the status.

  4. Click on the 3 dots and select the option Update reservations.

  5. This will open the pop up where we currently show one option > modify reservation status.

  6. Click on next step, select the from and to reservation status where we already exclude none possible options, based on the current reservation status flow and the linked permissions to the logged in user e.g. Pre-booking can only be changed to declined/provisional/definitive but without the permission to decline a pre-booking, the user will not see this option.

  7. Click on Modify reservation status, the batch will now start, you can wait or close the pop up and come back later to view the results.

  8. The reservation batch update results and history can be find in the Search reservations menu.

  9. If the batch update is failed/partly failed we show the details per updated reservation, succeeded or failed.
