When creating housekeeping employees for the first time, there is a specific flow that needs to be followed :
As shown in the diagram above, to begin setting up the housekeeping module in MXTS, we need to first create roles for the different types of housekeeping employees. For example, we can have roles such as "HK Cleaning" and "HK Control". These roles will have different purposes and rights on MXTS, depending on how the client manages their employees.
Creating these roles will allow us to assign specific duties and responsibilities to different groups of employees, and ensure that they only have access to the relevant functions within the housekeeping module. This will help to streamline the housekeeping process and ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
To ensure effective management of housekeeping activities, we also need to create employee groups in addition to creating roles for the housekeeping employees. This setting can be configured on Newyse, where we can create a Housekeeping Group. The employee group is necessary for employee creation to be done, as each employee needs to be assigned to an employee group. (SIde note: The employee Group will not be implemented on MXTS).
Once the role(s) and employee groups have been configured, employees need to be created (if they haven't already been created before) in the Employees module of the MXTS Back Office Manager.
Once these housekeeping employees have been created, they need to be linked to their specific Housekeeping role. This is done in each Role with the Linked employees card.
As a housekeeping manager, you can assign employees to the tasks within the planning. In MXTS there is 2 kind of employees when it comes to housekeeping:
- The cleaning employee. For this, the permission Operations Manager - Cleaning should be assigned to the employee.
- The control employee. For this, the permission Operations Manager - Control should be assigned to the employee.
Additionally, those employees should be added to the sector of that location to make it even possible to assign them to the tasks. This can be done at the sector configuration within MXTS.
Once the above permissions are selected in a role that is assigned to the employee, cleaning employees can be assigned to tasks of type regular and control employees can be assigned to tasks of type control.
Done?
You have successfully configured employees for Housekeeping tasks. You now need to configure sectors to assign to the housekeeping employees you configured.
