Reminder level

A reminder level can be considered a 'mark' or 'flag' which is added in a reservation when this booking is in scope for sending a payment reminder based on configured rules. Common reminder levels are:

  • First letter
  • Second letter
  • Third letter

Reminder levels can conceptually be related to actual reminder letters (templates), but this does not necessarily have to be nor is it technically tied together. Different templates can be send out dependent on distributionchannel or reservationcategory, while sharing the same reminder level configuration. Reminder levels are selected in reminder sets, in which the actual configuration of reminder rules take place.

To support an (semi-) automated way of cancelling the booking, the last reminder level to be added in the booking can be identified by activating checkbox 'last reminder level' on the applicable reminder level. Based on this identifier, a nightly script can be executed to cancel the applicable bookings.
