Priority management types

The Priority management types are the parameters based on which you would like the system to prioritize the units on the website and on the Reservation manager

Target amount

  • What is it?

    • This parameter is used in cases when a certain "target" revenue needs to be achieved for the units based on a specific contract type.

    • Since the number of reservations/occupancy for a specific accommodation type differs per season (high, low, or mid), the "target" revenue to be achieved is formulated and distributed taking into account the occupancy and the seasonality. This is done in order to prioritize the units that have the most revenue to be achieved for a specific season within a year when receiving bookings from the website or the Reservation manager.

    • This helps you achieve your revenue targets more efficiently but also allows a relatively fair distribution of revenue for the units of a contract type.

    • When the occupancy for a season reaches 85% or more, then the parameter by default will shift to “Planboard fitting

  • When to use it?

    • When there is a fixed revenue target to be achieved for a contract type. The units having the highest revenue/turnover to be achieved, then the units belonging to that contract type will be prioritized

Contract priority

  • What is it?

    • This parameter is used to prioritize the units or order them as per the priority number linked to the contract type. All the units linked to that contract will be prioritized or displayed according to the priority number of the contract type while creating a reservation.

  • When to use it?

    • When you simply want to prioritise the booking of units from one contract type over another

VSI (Value Scoring Index)

  • What is it?

    • This parameter is used to where a specific VSI (or Value Scoring Index) number can be assigned to the units. The prioritization of the units or the order in which they are displayed when creating a reservation is determined by the VSI number assigned to each unit.

  • When to use it?

    • When you have a fixed sequence in which you would like to display the units when they are being booked online. In short, when the prioritisation is fixed then VSI can be used to add those fixed priorities for units
